MUKO's Commitment Grid embodies who we are, each component is integral to our identity.
DURABILITY.
The market is littered with weaning bibs that quickly stain, discolour and hold odour with each child needing multiple bibs all ending up in landfill, we want to change this.
At MUKO, we are committed to sustainability through responsible material sourcing, prioritising durability to reduce excessive consumption and production of goods.
Globally sourcing the finest cruelty-free leather alternatives, our technology ensures maximum stain resistance and unrivaled durability.
Unlike traditional vegan leathers our Luxury range boasts a unique four layer technology delivering maximum stain resistance and ultimate durability.
Our thoughtful design and investment in durable materials means the BIBYLON® is the first and last bib any child needs, designed to be passed down time and time again.
SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS.
We hold steadfast to three principles:
sustainability, durability, and functionality.
We are proud to be the home of two materials that impeccably embody our criteria, marking MUKO as the pioneer of two world-first innovations.
The World's first Cactus Leather Weaning Bib.
The World's first PU vegan leather incorporating the use of rapidly renewable TENCEL™.
Each BIBYLON® is constructed with high-tech thread made from 100% recycled polyester. The raw material used for our environmentally friendly sewing thread is provided by recycled PET bottles.
THOUGHTFUL DESIGN.
At MUKO we have opted for a seasonless approach making the BIBYLON® a timeless choice. With our focus on not contributing to over-production we don't do prints and seasonal colours which become obsolete and end up in sale.
We emboss our branding and personalisation instead of using unnecessary additional materials, ink or hardwear.
Our fully adjustable collar design guarantees an exacting neck-fit for every child making the BIBYLON® the first and last bib any child needs throughout their growth.
MADE SLOWLY.
In contrast to rapid production cycles and mass over-production, we commit to a “made slowly” approach with careful craftsmanship, diligence and a considered pace to create quality products.
MUKO operates a small-batch and made-to-order production model only making what is needed.
HANDCRAFTED.
Each BIBYLON® is handcrafted.
With every BIBYLON® made in our South London Studio, we reduce our carbon footprint by removing the need to import our finished product into the country using air or sea freight.
At MUKO, we maintain absolute quality control by exclusively making every BIBYLON® in-house, eradicating any ethical ambiguity in the supply chain linked to third-party producers.
VEGAN LEATHER.
MUKO upholds cruelty-free practices, completely avoiding the use of animal products.
Our vegan leathers, free from common allergens associated with animal-based materials, exemplify our dedication to superior quality and eco-friendliness. These innovative advanced materials replicate the look and feel of leather, ensuring unmatched durability while addressing environmental and ethical concerns.
In contrast to conventional vegan leathers, our materials boast superior technical properties, minimising environmental impact.
Our vegan leather is free of toxic chemicals, BPA, phthalates and PVC.
ONE TREE PLANTED.
For every BIBYLON® ordered we will be planting a tree.
In honour of our Cactus Leather Range, MUKO is committed to reforestation in Mexico to help support vital flora and fauna and promote biodiversity, positively impacting local communities through sustainable action.
We have partnered with OneTreePlanted™ – an environmental non-profit charity that plant trees in countries around the world.
Planting a tree in Mexico with every BIBYLON® ordered! As your baby grows, so does the positive impact. Join us in fostering sustainability—one bib, one tree, continual growth.
ECO-PACKAGING.
Every element of our packaging is considered through the lens of our environment.
Our packaging stickers use only soy-based inks, made from FSC-certified, acid-free, lignin and sulphur-free pulp, which compost without leaving any residue behind.
The tissue paper we use will fully breakdown in a home compost system within 180 days, gifting nutrients back to the earth.
Our postal boxes, crafted from recycled materials, are 100% recyclable and produced in the UK, sealed with tape composed entirely of recycled materials.
Instead of employing unnecessary additional materials, ink, or hardware we emboss our gift bags and postal boxes.
INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT.
At MUKO, we are continually looking for new partners that are pioneers in fabric innovation and sustainable practices.
We are dedicated to consistently elevating our approach to materials and processes to make “the bib with a clean conscience” have an even greater positive impact on our world.
